Walden Residence

In the fall of 2003, our client approached us about updating and enhancing their back patio and expanding their deck. The original deck was small, rotting and not very functional. The Walden's wanted an environment where they could entertain, as well as just relax and enjoy their wooded lot.
We designed a two level deck to allow access from the back of the house. The area leads you down so as to open up some views to the backyard from inside the house. We then added a detached screened-in gazebo that allows for outdoor sitting during the buggy summer months. A walkway was placed off the deck and takes you down to the lower level brick patio and hot tub. We used large boulders for the steps to continue the more natural feel of the backyard. The landscape incorporates many shade loving shrubs as well as perennials. Mrs. Walden enjoys spending time in her garden, especially in the summer complimenting the perennials with annuals and various containers.
The transformation has created a wonderful backyard oasis. Since the beginning of our relationship, we have continued to provide full service maintenance on the property from mowing the grass to mulching and cleaning up the yard in the spring and fall.
