USDA releases new hardiness zone map

The recent warmer temperatures followed closely after the government announced its new hardiness zone map.  The adjustments to the hardiness zone map have changed central Ohio from a 5 to a 6.  This means an increase in the choices of temperature tolerant plants that can be used in our climate.  The exception a small pocket by Kettering Ohio that due to its typography requires a zone 5.  Read more…
