M.J. Design Has Returned to the Classroom!
We will be leading classes this May/June in conjunction with the Dublin Community Recreation Center. Reaching out to the community at large, we will be hosting these classes at our facility. Your flower pot! • Saturday, 5/14 • 9-10:30 a.m.Do you envy the beautiful flower pots at the high-end nurseries and wonder why yours never look as good? Gain the knowledge needed to grow your own. This class provides a hands-on experience at the M.J. Design facility. This workshop will occur rain or shine. Learn the key to successful soil choice, as well as a winning combination of plants, so your pots thrive! Dress to get dirty! A $32 material fee (cash or check only) will be needed to cover the cost of the container, flowers (4" – 6" size) and soil. You will take home your own creative combination. In addition to the container included with the class, should you like to plant any of your own pots, feel free to bring them along and materials can be purchased on site as well. Going Green thru Sustainability & Organics • Saturday, 6/11 • 9-10:30 a.m.How do you respect the environment and have a beautiful yard? Learn what’s organic and how to incorporate it into your yard. The principles of composting, chemical free weed control and a natural rain garden are a few of the topics covered. Held at the M.J. Design Facility, this two-hour class will be outside and hands on. M.J. Design is committed to making our world a better place—we look forward to showing you how.
M.J. Attends CENTS 2011The Central Environmental Nursery Trade Show was in town last week, CENTS is hosted by the Ohio Nursery & Landscape Association in conjunction with The Ohio State University Nursery Short Course—which is the educational arm of the event. Attendees take part in educational seminars, networking forums and new product information sessions. Read more… During one evening of the show, ONLA held their annual Beautification Awards banquet and we are pleased to announce that M.J. Design was honored yet again in the category “Unlimited Use of Seasonal Color, Container Gardens and Use of Perennials.”
