Hilliard River Project This project near the river just outside of Hilliard had unlimited opportunities just due to the scale of the property. The hard part was to complement and not overdue the already beauty of the site. Lots of mature native trees covered the multiple acre site. The house was under renovations when we were brought into the project. All exterior hardscape decisions were yet to be made, so lots of layout problems were yet to be solved.
Gahanna Residence Our client approached us about updating and enhancing their back patio and expanding their deck. The original deck was small, rotting and not very functional. The Walden's wanted an environment where they could entertain, as well as just relax and enjoy their wooded lot. We designed a two level deck to allow access from the back of the house.
Bexley Residence This client approached us about designing and installing a new landscape for the front of their home. By incorporating the existing trees, we created a landscape that would provide year-round interest. The landscape around the house is very shaded, so we planted hosta, pachysandra, lady’s mantle, coral bells, liriope, iris, taxus, and left pockets for seasonal color in the summer. Closer to the street, the landscape receives a little more sun, so we were able to incorporate black-eyed susan, purple loosestrife, salvia, and daylilies. Boxwood were used to provide substance during the winter months.
Dublin Residence We were brought on by the builder and architect to help site the next garage/office building in the wooded backyard of the client’s property. We were able to position the home to save specimen trees—in particular a beech tree in close proximity to the home. The new building was sited so the garage doors would not be visible from the existing home or from the road.
