At MJ Design, we believe our staff is our most important asset. We treat our employees the same way we would want to be treated. We take the time to incorporate “Fun” into our work, while still focusing on our client’s needs. We feel employees respond to recognition and opportunity for growth. We encourage and reward those who elect to take the Ohio Certified Landscape Technician (OCNT) exam and Ohio Pesticide Applicators License. We feel that yearly continuing education seminars are important to always staying on top of the latest in new plant material and maintenance practices.

Molly and Joel have a strong belief in giving back to the landscape community. We encourage students to come visit our office and talk about the opportunities the landscape profession has to offer. We usually hire one or two interns from either The Ohio State Universities Horticulture program or Columbus State’s Landscape program each summer. We give students the opportunity to see all aspects of a small detailed oriented landscape design-build business. Employees are trained to use various pieces of equipment and proper handling of everyday chemicals.
