Michael comes to use with an Associate Degree in Landscape Design Management from Columbus State Community College. He operated a small landscape maintenance company for 3 years and worked as a project manager for HRH Landscapes, Ltd. for 5 years. When asked his favorite plant, he had a hard time deciding between Plumbago, (for its color), Heuchera (for color and texture), and Hollyhock (for its large colorful flower). Michael resides in West Jefferson with his wife, April, and two children, Jayden and Mya. 

Kelly, our office manager, comes to M.J. with a degree in Health Administration from Auburn University. (Yes, we hired her even though she didn’t go to OSU.) Kelly has familiarized quickly to the Landscape Industry and lives in Marysville and has two children. Her daughter is attending Purdue University in Veterinary Medicine, and her son is getting his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Ohio University. During her free time, she enjoys going to the lake with her family and sitting in the sun with a nice glass of wine.

Sue comes to M.J. with a degree from Bowling Green State University in Management Information Systems. Sue helped implement our new time tracking and client database. Sue lives in Plain City with her husband and has a daughter who is attending Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. During her free time, she enjoys doing crafts and being outside (when it’s warm).

Amanda designs and coordinates seasonal color, container plantings, and holiday decor for both residential and commercial clients. She has a degree in Business Administration from Western State College in Colorado, where she managed the landscape division of a construction company and has had a focus in garden design ever since. This past year she returned to her roots in Upper Arlington to be with her family. When Amanda is not working, you will find her spending time in her garden at home, hanging out with family, or outside skiing, biking or running. 

David coordinates, leads, trains, develops, and creates opportunities for the teams to perform quality horticultural practices. He attended The Ohio State University Agricultural Institute in Wooster, Ohio studying Horticultural. He is Industry Certified Landscape Technician for Softscape Installation from National Association of Landscape Professionals. David comes with business experience from starting two businesses of his own; Evroscapes, for softscapes and Urban Services, with a focus on the  hardscapes side. David enjoys spending time with his family, spouse Brandy and son Philip. They live in Granville, home of Dennison University. His son Philip is attending C-Tech and studying to become a diesel mechanic as a junior in High School. His wife Brandy works as a project manager for Jones Schlater Flooring out of Reynoldsburg.  

Josh comes to M.J Design with over 20 years of experience, holding a variety of positions from crew member to co-owner of Drake Landscape. He comes with both hardscape and horticulture experience and is excited to find a company that aligns with his core values. Josh resides in Powell with his wife Julia and three daughters; Cecila, Caroline and Layla (he is outnumbered with all the females). In his spare time, when he does not have to catch up on sleep having a newborn, you will find him spending time outside with family at the park, or just being outside.
