It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Sidney John, beloved father of Joel and Jason John and devoted husband to Marta John. Sidney, known fondly as "Sid," was a man of great warmth, strength, and character.
Sid's love for The Ohio State University ran deep. A proud graduate of OSU in 1960’s, he was a lifelong supporter of his alma mater, and anyone who knew him could tell you just how much the Buckeyes meant to him.
Over the past few weeks, Sid fought bravely to regain his health. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit and legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Sid was also a strong believer in the dreams of his children. He was proud to support Joel and Molly as they embarked on their journey to establish M.J. Design, providing them with the initial investment to help bring their vision to life. When Sid retired as an attorney and he and Marta moved to Columbus to be near their kids, he came to work with us. He was our first office administrator and even spent a few days on a maintenance team. His faith in them and their ambitions was unwavering, and that belief will continue to inspire their work and their lives.
Sid’s memory will be cherished by all who knew him. He leaves behind a lasting impact, not only through his family but through his kindness, generosity, and enduring support of those around him.
